Comic Notes

So ends Act 1. I realize I could have posted this when I took my hiatus but I wasn’t sure what was happening on my end of things at the time.

Act 2 is in the works but it will take some time before it’s ready. I want to raise the bar on the art and the writing and for that I need to do things properly from the get go. While I enjoyed working on Act 1 immensely, it was a huge learning curve and I want to improve upon what I learned. For Act 2 I have big plans. BIG plans. Again, this will all take time but I think when I’m done with it, you will be pleased.

Also there will be a venue change for the comic. I will go into more details about it soon, so keep checking here at Aardehn.com. In the meantime, I’ll say it again, I really appreciate all the support throughout the years while I develop this wild world.

Thanks again! Cheers!!

Eric

Hello everyone!

Wow, it’s been some time hasn’t it? Life has been hectic as always but I have the next 6 pages written, and 1 even drawn up!

I’ve been approached by another online comic site to host Aardehn there, which I plan to do over the next couple of weeks or so. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up if suddenly this site goes down or the pages go missing! My goal with Aardehn.com will be more of a hub or a HQ for Aardehn information. I’ll have more info regarding that when the time comes.

In the meantime, I appreciate all your continued support and I promise Aardehn will return.. one day!

Cheers,

Eric

Slammed!

Yep, uber busy at the moment. Sorry all but posting will be slow. I have the next page penciled, just needs inks.

Hope all are doing well!

cheers

Holiday Season downtime

The holiday madness is here and thus I’ve been unable to punch out any new pages. Aardehn will return in January and I look forward to wrapping up this storyline with you all in 2011:).

I would just like to say thank you for all of your support this year and look forward to sharing more Aardehn with you in 2011.

I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and please be careful out there.

Cheers!!

Eric

Returning Soon!

I am almost settled in here at my new house, new job, new city. A few outstanding issues to resolve over the next week or so and I can get back to a regular posting schedule. I will be attending this years Fan Expo Toronto along side my fellow TX Comics brethren again so stop on by if you happen to attend the show.

I appreciate all the fan support and kind words over the last year and hope to deliver even better quality pages to you all.

Cheers!

Unexpected hiatus

I was expecting to post twice or more a week this month up until SDCC, but a new job and an unplanned move to a new city is suddenly overshadowing that plan. With San Diego looming next week and my first day on the job starting tomorrow morning, I don’t see myself having a lot of time to post any new pages for the time being. Early August I move and we will thus see the return of Aardehn.
For those of you going to SDCC, stop on by the Udon booth to say hi and pick up the new Udon anthology book VENT, where for the first time, a short 5 page full color story of Aardehn will be published. I would love to hear your thoughts on those pages and when the time is right, I will post those pages here in some form or another, for those that couldn’t pick up the book.

You can pre order the soft cover edition of Vent here -> link

Thanks for your support everyone!

Eric

The Fabler Interview

Last week Kevin de Vlaming from thefabler.com asked me for an interview. I was more then happy to oblige as the focus was mostly on Aardehn. Check out the full interview here-> link.

Aardehn Returns!

Aardehn will return to regular updates starting October 19th. I’m happy to say I’m back on track with everything and look forward to returning to the wild world of Aardehn.

On a side note, I just wanted to re-assure all of you that I am dedicated to making this the best it can be and when life happens and prevents an update, it really, REALLY bothers me. I wish I could dedicate every day to my world and post 3, 4 even 5 times a week but for now, Aardehn can’t pay the bills… but I’m slowly working towards it!

Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers out there and I hope you had a great weekend much as I did myself…. even though I was sick:)

Eric

09.09.09 is NOW!

Three New Ongoing Series Added To TX

Toronto, Canada: Critically-acclaimed webcomics collective TX Comics is proud to welcome three brand new creator-owned series officially debut today on Wednesday, September 9th 2009: Aardehn by Eric Vedder, Streta by Eric Kim and ButterNutSquash by Rob Coughler and Ramón Pérez!

These new series join an already star-studded lineup on TX Comics, home to such works as the Eisner Award-nominated The Abominable Charles Christopher by Karl Kerschl (artist/writer of The Flash in DC Comics’ Wednesday Comics and Teen Titans Year One), Sin Titulo by Eisner- and Shuster-Award nominee Cameron Stewart (artist of Catwoman, Seaguy and The Other Side), and Kukuburi by Ramón Pérez.

Aardehn, written and drawn by Eric Vedder, is a sprawling epic set in a magical world where fantasy and science collide, and prophecies of old threaten to bring about its end. Vedder is an accomplished artist whose credits include Deadpool and Fantastic Four for Marvel Comics, Street Fighter, and various video game concept illustration.

Streta, written and drawn by Eric Kim, is a science-fiction action-comedy about an ordinary guy who has to confront intergalactic bounty hunters, space pirates, and the cosmic ninjas, all while trying to win over the girl of his dreams. Kim has previously illustrated the original graphic novel series Love As A Foreign Language for Oni Press, and his forthcoming book Billy Smoke is in development as a major motion picture starring Matthew Fox.

ButterNutSquash, co-written by Ramón Pérez and Rob Coughler with art by Perez, is the long-running and popular semi-autobiographical comedy about a group of friends entrenched in their own self-deluded world in pursuit of the next great scheme, next great girl or just the next great cup of coffee. Pérez is known to regular TX readers as the writer/artist of Kukuburi, whose credits also include Star Wars, Resistance: Fall of Man, Justice Society of America, and the forthcoming true-crime graphic novel Green River Killer.

TX Comics is a collective of professional illustrators and cartoonists who are united by their desire to produce top-flight comics.
